JOST was founded in 1952. Then a factory was opened, that specialized in manufacturing of bearing rotary forms. This German company was established in Offenbach, and received tha name JOST. Already before 1960 a rebranding took place. The company was renamed Joste-Werke GmbH. That year factories in Great Britain and South Africa were also opened. On production lines of the company support-bonding devices have been started to release, which were designed for traction units.
