We talked with Roman Bogdanovich Iskiv, owner of PE "Agrovest Ukraine", about the development of the company, cooperation and prospects for the future.
Tetyana: Roman, thank you for finding the time to talk. Please tell us about yourself and your company. What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Roman: My name is Roman, I am the owner of the company "Agrovest Ukraine". We are engaged in the sale of spare parts, service of agricultural and construction equipment - these are manufacturers such as JCB and John Deere. We provide a full range of services: from the selection of spare parts to the repair of engines, bridges, gearboxes.
Tetyana: What is your strategic vision for the development of the company, taking into account the current complex realities and what areas are currently a priority in your work?
Roman: The situation in the country is not easy, and planning something now is very risky. But we do not give up. We determine priority areas based on the needs of John Deere and JCB. Our main task now is to accumulate as much product as possible in the warehouse. At the same time, we plan to increase the number of people who will service this equipment. It is clear that it is not easy now due to the shortage of personnel, but, at least in Western Ukraine, we strive to develop the service area and increase the presence of John Deere and JCB equipment. If we deviate a little from the current situation in the country, we also plan to expand our regional presence and open branches in neighboring regions, in particular in Ternopil and Vinnytsia.
Tetyana: Regarding our cooperation: what exactly could you highlight as the most valuable in interacting with our company?
Roman: We started cooperating with you at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, and in recent years we have significantly increased sales volumes. There are three things that we really like:
1. Adequate communication with your employees.
2. Constant dialogue on planning and pricing.
3. Logistics - your delivery times greatly reduce customer expectations.
We want to focus as much as possible on cooperation with your company. I see the prospect of our interaction. Our entire team is interested in continuing cooperation with you.
Tetyana: What can you say about our people? Who have you collaborated with? Who can you single out and why?
Roman: First of all, I like the work of your employee Roman Lysak, who leads the direction of the private brand Cametet. Over the past years, we have developed quite widely in this direction and place great emphasis on cooperation with the manufacturer, and we also plan to significantly increase the stock of your product in 2026. We also plan to place orders now so that in the spring, with the help of these spare parts, we can take the equipment to the fields for sowing. The main thing for us is to ensure the presence of this brand in Western Ukraine.
Also, we are constantly in touch with Oleksandr Galaburda, he always actively helps.
Your employees are very professional, technically prepared and open to dialogue.
Tetyana: What do we need to pay attention to in order to become even better?
Roman: As for improvement, I don’t even know what to say. We discussed it with our team – everyone is happy with everything. Of course, there is no ideal, but a solution is always born in our dialogue.
Tetyana: What problems in your work have you managed to solve thanks to our help as Omega managers //?
Roman: There were no particularly problematic cases – and this already speaks of a good level. If questions arise, they are resolved quickly and professionally. Your employees understand the product, the client and the importance of cooperation. We constantly meet with your representative in Rivne, Oleksandr Galaburda, and we cooperate perfectly.
Tetyana: What do you think is the best investment right now: in people, technology or brand development?
Roman: The most critical situation we have right now is with people. I'm not even talking about skills or intellectual capabilities, there are simply no people physically. Therefore, the first investment and the most important thing is people. It is people who build everything else. As for the brand, I believe that people always come first. People make the brand, not the brand makes people. The brand is very important, but it is effective only when you have a well-established team, a goal and clear objectives. In our direction, there are a huge number of offers for customers in the form of different brands. We always focus on quality - this is the basis of our business, and only then comes the price. Of course, the client often looks first at the price, but we explain that quality cannot be cheap. This is a constant balance of quality and price.
Tatyana: What achievements can your company be proud of over the past year?
Roman: I am personally proud that I have a wonderful team - a team of like-minded people, people who believe in a bright future in the good sense of the word. I develop alongside these people, I learn from them, they learn from me. Preservation of the company today is our most important prerogative. Every businessman, every person should first of all think about preserving jobs and increasing them. Our
