Nesterenko Oleksandr: sharing experience, shaping the future of the team!
Nesterenko Oleksandr is a warehouse clerk at the Kyiv Distribution Center, and has become one of the best TWI mentors of 2025. His day begins with the noise of the warehouse: scanners are buzzing, carts are moving, and on the faces of newcomers - a slight excitement. It is here that Oleksandr turns any excitement into confidence and knowledge.
Training with Oleksandr begins with an inspection of the warehouse, familiarization with the processes and a demonstration of working with the scanner. Then the newcomer gets the opportunity to work independently, but always under the watchful eye of the mentor. Each cell has its own characteristics, so training here is like a fine art: you need to show, explain and at the same time leave room for practice.
“When there are any difficulties, newcomers can always ask me. If it is a process, you need to teach them directly, at the moment when it will really be needed to learn in practice,” Oleksandr shares. This simple but important strategy allows new employees to adapt faster and not forget what they have already learned.
His patience and attentiveness have repeatedly helped employees cope with difficulties in a new place. Oleksandr monitors every action, shows the correct operation of the scanner, explains the nuances of the processes and controls that everything happens without errors. Thanks to this, even beginners feel confident and ready to quickly get involved in the work.
Oleksandr admits that mentoring can be difficult: sometimes you have to combine it with your main work and devote more time to beginners. But it is precisely seeing the result when an employee masters the processes and achieves success that motivates him to remain a mentor. His advice to colleagues is simple: be patient, open and ready to share knowledge.
Outside of work, Oleksandr supports himself with sports: jogging and athletics. This discipline and calmness that he trains in himself outside of work help him effectively teach others. His work in 2025 earned him recognition as one of TWI’s top mentors. His secret is simple: patience, attentiveness, and a genuine desire to help. This is what makes his mentoring not just a job, but a real contribution to the team.
