Olga Zinchenko and a new approach to occupational safety training
Occupational safety is an area that concerns every employee, regardless of their position or place of work. It is often associated only with production processes, equipment or warehouse activities, but the office environment also has its risks. This is what Olga Zinchenko, an occupational safety specialist, focused on when creating a new training course for office workers in the second quarter.
The main goal of the course was to raise employees' awareness of safety issues and show that occupational safety is not only a legal requirement, but an important component of daily work. “There is a certain perception that occupational safety is needed mainly where there is production, a warehouse or work with equipment. But in fact, office workers can also face various risks. Therefore, it is important to form a safety culture among all employees,” notes Olga.
When developing the course, legislative requirements, regulatory documents, sanitary rules and occupational safety instructions were the basis. At the same time, the materials were adapted to the specifics of the company's activities so that the information was as practical and understandable as possible for employees.
The training program includes several important areas: occupational health and safety, electrical safety, ergonomics, fire safety, hygiene and industrial sanitation, as well as actions in various situations. Each block is designed so that employees can not only obtain the necessary knowledge, but also apply it in everyday activities.
A feature of the new course was a modern approach to presenting the material. During the creation process, Olga collaborated with Ivakina Olga, a distance learning manager. Thanks to this, it was possible to use new learning formats and integrate the capabilities of artificial intelligence. One of such solutions was Olga's digital avatar with her voice, which made the course more interactive and modern. “It was interesting for me to see how new technologies can be used to present educational material in a different way. This makes it possible to make complex topics more accessible to perception,” says Olga.
At the same time, this course was not the first such project for the company. Previously, there was already a course on occupational safety for office workers. When creating the new version, the team almost completely revised and updated the materials, taking into account the feedback of employees who took the previous course. This approach made the training even more practical, understandable and closer to the real needs of employees.
In her work, Olga considers occupational safety not only as fulfilling formal requirements, but as an important area of caring for people. Her task is to help employees and managers better understand risks, comply with safety rules and create an environment in which human health and life remain a priority.
Outside of her professional activities, Olga has a creative hobby - for many years she was engaged in vocals, participated in competitions, and now continues to sing in her free time. This helps her find a balance between responsible work and personal interests.
