Less routine — more opportunities: the story of Hanna Zeninets' project
How to make it easier for recruiters to work with candidates, and all participants in the process see up-to-date information in one place? This is exactly what Hanna Zeninets, HR-generalist, worked on in the second quarter of 2026, completing her project "Recruitment Automation".
It all started with the need to find a new system for working with candidates. The previous platform no longer had the necessary support, so the team decided to look for a more modern and convenient solution. First, Hanna, together with her colleagues, determined what functions the new system should perform, and then the most interesting part began — search and testing.
The team considered about five different systems, received demo versions and tested them directly in work. Everyone could evaluate the interface, convenience and capabilities of the platforms, and only after that they jointly chose the best option. Then Hanna agreed on the budget and, together with her colleagues and the IT team, took up the implementation and necessary integrations.
Today, thanks to the new system, recruiting has become more structured and transparent. The database that recruiters, managers, and job seekers work with is collected in one place, and the entire recruitment funnel is at your fingertips. The system takes on some of the routine tasks: it helps find the most relevant candidates among a large number of responses using built-in artificial intelligence, allows you to use ready-made message templates, automates the movement of candidates between stages, and provides the opportunity to communicate in messengers directly from the platform.
For Hanna, this was the first project of this format. Of course, there were difficult moments in the process, but the desire to see the matter through and interest in the process itself helped move forward. “It was difficult at times, but interesting,” she recalls. And it seems that it was so interesting that even colleagues noticed it: once Hanna was told that her eyes literally “glow” during conversations about the project.
But recruiting automation is not the only area in which Hanna helps people move forward. She has been working as a career counselor for about a year outside of her regular job. After a seven-month training, Anna advises job seekers, helping them work on their resumes, decide on a career path, find new opportunities, and develop their LinkedIn. Her project is a good example of how technology can free up time from routine and give people more opportunities to focus on what matters most. And also, how curiosity about your work can turn a difficult task into a truly exciting project.
