Advisor to the director of "Transport Service Company" Serhii Tulika: "Omega is a leader of the market and a very systematic company"

We continue to tell you how our partners develop their business during the war. Recently we have had a conversation with an advisor to the director of "Transport Service Company", which works on selling auto tyres and tyre fitting services, Serhii Tulika. The central office of the company is located in Lviv; however, it works in all regions of Ukraine. Our partners have a unique approach in the market as to working with their clients. About this approach and about what is the most valuable in business, read more in our interview. We share such an interesting and sincere conversation with pleasure.

PR-Department manager Roman Denisenko:

Has your strategic view on the company development changed critically, how was it before the war and how is it now? Which perspectives for development of your company and the field on the whole can you see for the near future?

Advisor to the director of "Transport Service Company" Serhii Tulika:

Not taking into account the fact that every business has own peculiarities, I think that the war is an examination for any type. In such circumstances the war divided everything into periods "before" and "after". But, in my opinion, Ukrainian business has always passed all trials. Since the foundation of our independence there have been such trials, and they have never been easy. Because the country was "oligarchic", built for concrete people; and all business was as a serving tool for that system, – so, I suppose, it was after all an examination. And so we passed it, and we moved on. And we will be passing, as a society, during a long period still, to understand for ourselves, what has happened; however, I think, the crucial changes have taken place, and people have started to react differently to the outside world, its challenges. Including business, so everything is completely different now. And this is interesting, as it is the first time for us.

Roman Denisenko: It is nice to notice that your company does not only selling tyres, but also providing high-quality service for your clients. Your company activity coincides greatly with the mission of Omega: simplification of vehicles maintenance. Tell us, please, how did the idea arise to agree with tyre fitters not only to sell the goods, but, at the same time, in synergy with partners, to solve the main problem of your clients – car repair? How difficult was it to realize such an idea?

Serhii Tulika: Such an interesting question. The idea arose very long ago; basically, this is an idea of humanocracy, which is based on the fact that in the middle of all stands a person. With any type of business we do, we understand, that it is all for people. The person is a social being; as we understand, that the main direction of our life and activity is to help others, and then everything is simple. Previously I dealt with such a direction as transportations, and I realized the most difficult aspects for carriers to organize own work. Fuel, tyres and drivers – those are the three most resource-consuming questions for an auto park owner, as in sense of funds, and of own resources. As we realize it, it becomes clear that we must gain carrier's trust. Our goal, our idea is to help the carrier, not only to sell him tyres, but to provide help: as the main goal of the carrier is to ship the goods to people in time. And, if he reaches this goal, he will normally earn money. So this idea was brought up, when I was dealing with transportations, and I understood how important it was. Also working with tyre fitting is to work with our partners, so we always care of their convenience in working with us: that we do our part very good, and they win from it.

Omega is a systematic company, where constancy and stability are the mains, and you are really a leader in this market. You encourage us to fit in these conditions, because there is a principle of the market. Other companies, in case they do not do the same as you, and you are a big company, will simply not be able to exist in this market. Let me say, in working with other suppliers, you are as a kind of safe keeper for us. We are thankful to Omega for that.

Roman Denisenko: We would like to speak about the convenience of Omega services for your company, to receive an honest feed-back. Tell us, please, how convenient is it for you to use our program of selection?

Serhii Tulika: We have one goal: to deal with different spare parts, components, which you also ship and sell; but for now we use only tyres. As for tyres – it is very convenient to use the program of selection. The program itself is very convenient, with such an easy shipment, delivery of tyres. It is also very convenient: in case a question of some sort arises, we always solve it together with you. So if we have a question or problem – we can call you, explain it, and it will be solved. The program is convenient, and the attitude of your employees is very nice. And so, again, we are very thankful.

Roman Denisenko: What can you tell about our delivery service: we would be pleased to hear an honest feed-back on its quality and convenience for you?

Serhii Tulika: I can put it like this: if I wanted to tell you about some minuses, there would be none. We always can deliver tyres to any place in Ukraine thanks to you. So, it seems that you are a part of us. This is what I have always wanted to reach: that we are a part of shipping carrier, and the shipping carrier realises that we are its department. And so we must understand that we can deliver tyres to any tyre fitting in Ukraine thanks to you. Those people, who deliver the goods, contact with us very nicely. Maybe it seems quite unfair from my side, as I do not mention any minuses, but just because there are no. If there are some minor minuses, we solve them all together. And we are greatly thankful for that to your company.

Roman Denisenko: Do you use our EGF service, in particular, applying such programmes for the electronic document flow as M.E.Doc, SOTA, Vchasno? Does it simplify the processes of receiving and sharing documents in the company for you?

Serhii Tulika: Of course, we have already switched to the EGF. For our accountant Yulia it is very convenient to work with the EDF, and we are for the electronic document flow.

Omega sends us all the documents in an electronic form. If our carriers do not use those services, we just share a bill of loading on Viber, and they send us documents too; so in this way we can simplify all process.

Roman Denisenko: How convenient is our service of returning for you? How often in general do you have to make returning, and what is the most important for you in this process?

Serhii Tulika: Roman, I will not surprise you this time, we do not have problems with that. Firstly, we had some questions, mistakes, maybe, but it is okay. Today we do not have any problems with returning goods, we understand everything clearly.

At the beginning, when we started to cooperate, we made some mistakes, we wanted to help the carrier, but we could not understand fully, what was the problem with a wheel, how to explain the returning correctly. Now we have already understood and sorted it out, which goods could be defective. We send you necessary goods, you make returning. Everything goes properly. We have also taught carriers on that. We understand clearly that, for example, if a person comes to our tyre fitting with a problem of cut wheel, then we need to go into details, whose fault it was. There is also a question of trust: we do not have carriers we do not trust. We solve these problems of returning with you, and there are no faults from your side on that.

Roman Denisenko: Recently we have opened a new logistics centre in Lviv. How important is its opening for your company? What has improved for you with its opening? If you can, please, give us some examples.

Serhii Tulika: If we conclude an agreement with a carrier, we analyse, how many tyres he has, and how many tyres he requires not to have problems with them, and not to look for them somewhere else. This way we understand that on our warehouse we need to have so many goods that we can provide each of our carriers, in any case. The opening of your warehouse has reduced the amount of goods on our warehouse, and so now we can allow ourselves to keep less on our warehouse. As delivery from your warehouse, as well as availability of tyres, greatly helps us.

Roman Denisenko: Which achievements of your company for the previous year are you mostly proud of?

Serhii Tulika: When the war started, people did not know what to do, many crossed the border. Some went to battle, some – just run away... The greatest achievement of our company is that our workers have not left Ukraine, any of them. They have not even had a thought on that.

Our men in the first instance went to the front line. We had one manager there and one driver too.

So these are the greatest achievements. I think our main achievement is our good staff recruitment. I realized the value of people, and that they are the main resource if business.

Roman Denisenko: Thank you for your paid attention and such an inspiring conversation! It was very interesting! Farewell!
