We have had a conversation with Marko Chukvinskyi, the head of Distribution Department of LLC "HALAVTOCENTR" on how the business has changed during the war; and we hasten to pleasantly tell you the details of this interesting conversation.
Roman Denisenko: Has your strategic view on the company development changed crucially, what was it like before the war and what is it like now? Which perspectives for developing your company and the field on the whole can you see for the near future?
Marko Chukvinskyi: Strategically nothing has changed, except that the confidence about the future has gone. This is connected to external reasons, for example, the electricity absence. But in different details many things have changed. These changes dealt with staff, range of goods and types of cars, difficulties with particular groups of spare parts, the absence of the possibility for long-term planning.
Earlier on we took part in tenders, responded to them, but now, with the fact that you don`t know, what will be tomorrow with prices and where you will get spare parts, it is impossible to predict something. At such a moment, when there is no stability, planning generally becomes unpredictable.
Roman Denisenko: We have been cooperating for a long time, and we would like to hear, how did your company start to develop?
Marko Chukvinskyi: I want to point out that we are an enterprise, which has transformed from automotive to repair. At some time, we provided services of construction machinery, cargo trucks, and also car services. However, with time our business transformed, the optimal directions of development were formed, and today we mostly work with repair maintenance of transport vehicles, and we have focused these days mainly on light cars direction. Because at some time we maintained also cargo transport, tried different markets for us.
Roman Denisenko: We would like to speak about the convenience of Omega services for your company, to receive an honest feed-back.Tell us, please, how convenient is it for you to use our program of selection?
Marko Chukvinskyi: It is convenient, and we use the program of selection both on a brand of a model, and, from time to time, on VIN code. Although we have other handy methods to find the code of a necessary spare part; however, Omega, for 15 years we know each other, has made a significant step forward. It was clear, how you were developing, and some changes are taking place now. A convenient website of Omega also helps us. Every day we have a small, but still an order.
Roman Denisenko: What can you tell us about our delivery service: we will be pleased to hear an honest feed-back as to its quality and convenience for you?
Marko Chukvinskyi: You have made a fantastic step forward with opening a logistics centre in Lviv, as when it was just a regional one, it was not sufficiently loaded. The service "today-to-tomorrow" is also all right with us, because Omega is our supplier number one.
We have reasonably cheap and affordable spare parts on stock, as there is a segment of customers, which want to have cheap filters, cheap chemicals, cheap oils, - and you are off the competition here. Delivery in Lviv works absolutely normal, so I am satisfied with everything; not mentioning the fact that we are located not far from you territorially and I can come to you and take a pick-up, in case I need something.
Roman Denisenko: Do you use our EDF service, in particular, applying such programs for the electronic document flow as M.E.Doc, SOTA, Vchasno? Does it simplify the processes of receiving and sharing documents in the company for you?
Marko Chukvinskyi: Our accounts department has been working with you on M.E.Doc for long. I do not know all the details, but you and we started working with the electronic document flow ones of the first, and I have not seen your paper bills of loading for years.
Roman Denisenko: How convenient is our service of goods returnings for you? How often in general do you make returnings, and what is the most important for you in this process?
Marko Chukvinskyi: You have maybe the best working process of returnings of goods. And I am saying it sincere. We have not a lot of returnings, but the main cause for them is the thing that it seems the item fits by eye, but in fact it does not correspond to the one we need, and we make a returning then. No one wants to have additional looses, but you have a good-working process on that. Throughout our history, maybe, we had one incident, when we had some disagreement as to returning. But we easily solved this problem, and we moved on.
Roman Denisenko: Which achievements of your company for recent year are you mostly proud of?
Marko Chukvinskyi: We maintain vehicles, which come to Armed Forces. We always receive them, repair. There are times when there are more vehicles, when there are less, or when there is no place where to put new ones. These days the flow has decreased, and this may be a delight, as I hope now there is a normal supply of vehicles for Armed Forces. This is what we can be glad of, what we are helpful with.
