Aplus tires with wide tread

New models S202, D288 and D318 and all you need to know about them

SHANDONG HAOHUA TIRE company actively improves the tires already on the market and develops new ones. Recently, the company introduced three new models of truck tires under the Aplus brand — S202, D288 and D318. One of the first markets where these tires went on sale was exactly the Ukrainian one.

The main advantage of the new tires is a wider tread compared to the first generation. Let us consider the example size 315/80R22,5. If the width of the tread in the steering model S201 was 235 mm, then it has been increased to 254 mm in the tire-successor S202. In the tire of the first generation D801 with a driving pattern, the tread was 240 mm wide, and in the D288 and D318 models — it is already 262 mm and 272 mm, respectively.

Why are the tires with wide tread better:

  1. The tire is less deformed during maneuvers and withstands high instantaneous loads, that has a positive effect on safety.
  2. The better vehicle steerability at low and especially high speeds.
  3. Due to the improved composition of the industrial-rubber mixture and rubber structure, tire wear resistance is increased up to 50%.
  4. The best brake and adherence properties of the tires, the reduced braking path.

D288 and D318 tires with a drive tread pattern received the innovative 3D-tread, created by 3D-printing technology using hard shields. These models are less noisy and retain a good adherence with wet surface. Tires wear more evenly and provide better stabilization of the contact pattern during maneuvers.

The principle of operation of 3D-printing technology with hard shields

When driving in straight trajectory, the tread blocks move freely back and forth to reduce deformation wear. But during maneuvers, each block is fixed by a three-dimensional shape with hard shields, which increases the rigidity of the tread block and improves the stability of the contact pattern. Each tire has hundreds of such hard shields that ensure even wear.
