Strategy, Responsible Storage and Reliable Brands: A Conversation with Nazariy Ivanushchak, Owner of OLIMP MARKET LLC

We spoke with Nazariy Ivanushchak, owner of OLIMP MARKET LLC, which has been operating on the market since 2014. His experience and strategic vision of business development help us understand modern approaches to cooperation and effective work in the field of automotive sales.

Tetyana: Nazar, congratulations! Thank you for joining our conversation.

You are the owner of OLIMP MARKET LLC. It will be interesting to learn more about your role in the company and your professional experience.

Nazariy: Our small company started operating in 2014 in Ivano-Frankivsk. I am its founder and owner. The main profile is the sale of tires, auto parts and batteries. We provide a comprehensive approach to customer service and strive not to be limited to one format. The entire range of your company's products, which interests us very much, can help us with this.

Tetyana: What is your strategic vision for the company's development, given today's realities?

Nazariy: Now is a time of very limited opportunities and difficulties in planning. Our realities today are the desire to maintain stability. If the situation in the country changed, we could look wider, take risks and expand. For now, the main thing is to live and stay healthy. I believe that everything will be fine. We always strive to grow, but today the basis of the strategy is reliability and readiness to respond to changes.

Tetyana: What is your focus now? What are your priority areas?

Nazariy: Currently, all areas are balanced for us. We do not focus exclusively on one thing. In the future, we are considering the possibility of creating additional services, such as self-service stations and tire fitting, but for now the main focus remains on the effective operation of existing areas. There is no time for big changes now.

Tetyana: What can you say about our cooperation? What do you like most about the interaction and what should we pay attention to in order to improve our work?

Nazariy: I like the web store - it is a convenient tool. High-quality communication with managers is also important for prompt ordering. In general, the interaction is built on dialogue: you can discuss conditions, discounts or payment deferrals to make it profitable for both parties. Delivery is satisfactory, although after the closure of the additional warehouse in Ivano-Frankivsk, the terms sometimes increased, but you can adapt to this. Honestly, I am satisfied with everything so far.

Tetyana: What do you think about our “Responsible Storage” service, is it convenient?

Nazariy: This service is 100% perfect for us. The main advantage is that you do not need to invest your own money in the product in advance. We take what is already in stock and in demand. This allows you not to “freeze” funds and avoid a situation where the product is purchased but is sold slowly. We also try to take the goods that your company recommends or that sell well. The only limitation is the need for additional storage space to avoid confusion.

Tetyana: Do you work with our own brands?

Nazariy: We work with various of your brands, including AXXIS, Armer, Tempest, Rider and others. AXXIS lubricants and auto chemicals are the most represented. This is a good middle segment — not the cheapest, but not premium offers either. Overall, I am satisfied: this is a reliable option for our clients.

Tetyana: What can you say about our people with whom you cooperate?

Nazariy: Personally, I am very satisfied with the cooperation with the managers. In particular, I would like to single out the manager Oles Parubochy, with whom I work. He is one of the best specialists in the entire time of our cooperation. He is always ready to help, solve the issue “from A to Z”, take responsibility, for example, in the case of postponement and selection of goods. This is very much appreciated.

Tetyana: What problems were solved thanks to our managers?

Nazariy: There were no serious problems. There were some working moments, for example, agreeing on payment deferrals. But this is a normal working process, and we understand this. Today, deferrals are often the key issue, which allows for more effective management of working capital. When mutually beneficial solutions are found, it is ideal.

Tetyana: What achievements can your company be proud of over the past year?

Nazariy: In such difficult conditions, I consider stability to be the main achievement. We manage to maintain it from year to year. Now is the time when some clients are added, and some, unfortunately, due to circumstances (war, moving, closing the business) are lost. Therefore, the preservation of the business and its efficiency is already a big victory. Of course, we would like to see growth, but we appreciate what we have.
