Alexey: someone who is not afraid to be real
In every large company, there are people who don't just do their job — they put their soul into everything they do. One of them is Alexey Opikun: a technical specialist, actor, poet, motorcyclist, family man, and creator.
“It was unexpected,” Alexey recalls with a smile the moment he learned that he had become one of the best speakers on the BBC. His participation is not just a performance, but the result of painstaking preparation, editing of texts, and selection of music. For Alexey, it was not a burden — it was a delight. “I found it interesting. It was a challenge that brought pleasure,” he says.
The employees who played with him are not just colleagues, but true friends. Together they created real magic on stage, even though the performance was held via the Zoom platform. This experience only strengthened the sense of community and cohesion. In his daily work, Oleksiy is responsible for the IT direction, which often requires quick reaction, stress resistance and communication skills. There is no place for indifference or formalities. For the system to work, people must be calm, determined, and confident.
“You don’t just solve a problem — you create an environment in which others can work,” he explains his philosophy.
The designation “multifaceted” is exactly about Oleksiy. He has a bike, a guitar, and his own YouTube channel, where he creates videos and music using AI. He writes poems, the inspiration for which comes instantly — sometimes an entire text is created in 20 minutes. And he also has the support of the most important people in his life — his wife and daughter, without whom this harmony would not exist. Oleksiy admits: without love and support at home, there would be no motivation or results. For him, family is a support, and work is a field for realization. “We are all different, and that’s normal. The main thing is to remember that we are working for the same goal,” he says.
This is a story about a holistic person who does not separate work and life, but knows how to be himself everywhere - with people, in processes, at a BBC speech, at a bike ride, and in every working day. It is stories like these that make our company alive.
